Singapore Updates MyICA App for Enhanced Arrival Card Starting 30 September

Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has announced that travelers must update their MyICA mobile application to access the Enhanced Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) beginning 30 September 2026. The announcement was made on 16 September via the ICA's official Facebook page.

The enhanced arrival card introduces significant improvements to the submission process. The updated version now supports 19 languages, expanding from the previous 12 languages by adding Bahasa Indonesia, Dutch, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Filipino, and Italian. The new card also includes a passport scanning feature that automatically fills in traveler information, streamlining data entry. This autofill capability has been expanded to Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders, who previously relied on Singpass for information retrieval. The interface has been redesigned for easier navigation, with a simplified opening page that allows travelers to select their purpose and residency status at the start.

The SGAC remains mandatory for most travelers arriving in Singapore, including foreign visitors and Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders. Exceptions apply to those transiting through Singapore without immigration clearance and residents entering through the Woodlands or Tuas land checkpoints. Travelers may continue to submit the arrival card through ICA's official website at no cost; the app update is specifically required for those generating QR codes via the mobile application, particularly for land checkpoint clearance.

The Enhanced Singapore Arrival Card was initially rolled out on ICA's website on 26 August. The mobile app version, requiring user updates from 30 September onward, represents the completion of the rollout across ICA's digital platforms. ICA emphasized that submission through official channels remains free and that the app update does not mandate mobile-only submission.
