Tennis star Kasatkina marries figure skater Zabiyako in Greece

Daria Kasatkina, a 29-year-old professional tennis player now competing for Australia, married figure skater Natalia Zabiyako in Greece on July 16, 2026. The couple, who publicly revealed their relationship in 2022, held their wedding ceremony and reception at the Yali restaurant overlooking the Temple of Poseidon in Greece, a country where same-sex marriage is legal.

The celebration drew approximately 30 guests, including professional athletes from multiple countries. Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva, Anastasia Pavliuchenkova, Ekaterina Antipova, Arina Rodionova (representing Australia since 2014), and Kamilla Rahimova (representing Uzbekistan) attended, alongside Ukrainian tennis players Nadezhda Kichenok and Yulia Starodubtseva, who danced to Russian songs during the reception. Guests stayed at the five-star Cape Sounio Grecotel Exclusive Resort, located approximately 10 minutes from the restaurant venue.

The wedding cost approximately 50,000 euros (roughly 4.4 to 5 million rubles). Expenses included hotel accommodation at approximately 1,000 euros per night per room, restaurant rental at 8,000 euros for the day, and food and beverages totaling 17,500 euros. Kasatkina, formerly ranked as high as eighth in world tennis, switched to competing for Australia in 2025 and received Australian citizenship earlier in 2026. Zabiyako, a silver medalist from the 2018 Winter Olympics in pairs figure skating, previously competed for Russia but now represents Canada.
