China Announces New Humanitarian Aid Package for Iran and Lebanon

China has announced plans to deliver a new batch of humanitarian assistance to Iran and Lebanon in the near future, according to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian. The aid is designed to support post-conflict recovery, advance reconstruction efforts, and improve economic development and living standards for both nations.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Lin Jian stated that China is deeply saddened by the humanitarian consequences of the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, as well as its broader spillover effects across the Middle East region. He emphasized that the timing and scope of the new aid package reflects the actual humanitarian needs identified by the countries concerned.

This represents the second phase of China's humanitarian response to the crisis. China had already provided emergency humanitarian assistance to Iran and other relevant countries in March 2026. The latest announcement demonstrates China's commitment to supporting affected populations in the region through both immediate emergency relief and longer-term recovery assistance.

Lin Jian affirmed that China will continue to provide support and assistance within its capacity while working to promote peace talks and playing a constructive role in efforts to restore peace and stability in the Middle East.
