Olivia Rodrigo Announces Daisy Chain Fields Benefit Festival in Irvine with All-Female Lineup

Grammy Award-winning pop singer Olivia Rodrigo has announced her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival, scheduled for August 29, 2026, at Irvine's Great Park in California. The festival will feature an all-female lineup including Rodrigo herself, alongside major artists such as Chappell Roan, Stevie Nicks, Mitski, Doechii, Katseye, Garbage, Bikini Kill, and The Breeders, with special guest appearances by Karen O and Sarah McLachlan. The festival spans multiple stages and park areas, with capacity expected to reach up to 45,000 attendees.

One hundred percent of net proceeds from the festival will support ten nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing women's and girls' rights and health globally. The beneficiary organizations include Jhpiego (a Johns Hopkins-affiliated nonprofit focused on maternal and child health), the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, the National Women's Law Center, Center for Reproductive Rights, Planned Parenthood, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health, Baby2Baby, and FreeFrom. According to Rodrigo, the festival is named for wild daisies with strong, unbreakable chains, symbolizing the resilience and interconnectedness of women and girls.

Rodrigo expressed her long-held vision for the event on social media, stating: "I've had a dream of doing this festival for years, and I am so ecstatic it's finally coming true. I firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change, and I'm hopeful this festival will be just that." Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health executive director Allison Barlow noted particular enthusiasm about Rodrigo's interest in the center's Family Spirit program, which trains caregivers during pregnancy and early childhood. The festival comes as Rodrigo's third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," topped the Billboard 200.

The Great Park has established itself as a premier entertainment and sports destination, recently serving as the home base for the U.S. Men's National Team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The City of Irvine and Great Park officials praised the Daisy Chain Fields Festival as a significant cultural moment, with Mayor Larry Agran stating that the event represents "a modern-day celebration of women in music, creativity, and community." The festival will utilize Great Park Live, the city-owned amphitheater with expanded 10,000-guest capacity, as well as additional park space featuring a dedicated main stage. Presale tickets became available on June 26, 2026.
