The home was unnamed for many years before Ravi Shankar suggested the name 'Adwitiya,' meaning 'unique' or 'incomparable,' reflecting the house's singular significance in Hema Malini's life.

The residence is extensively decorated with memories of Hema Malini's late husband Dharamendra, featuring numerous photographs and personalized cushions bearing their images throughout the home. A dedicated classical dance hall with polished wooden flooring serves as the centerpiece of the house, where meditation sessions with up to 30 people can be held. The room maintains a no-footwear policy as a mark of respect for dance and art. The walls throughout the bungalow display classical dance pose paintings, performance photographs of Hema Malini and her daughters Isha and Ahana, dance books, and Nataraja sculptures.

The home includes two separate kitchens to accommodate Hema Malini's vegetarian diet and non-vegetarian meals for guests, each with independent chefs.
