Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid End Decade-Long Relationship Amicably

Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid have ended their relationship after more than a decade together, sources confirmed this week. The pair, who met in 2013 after being introduced by mutual friend Ed Sheeran, became engaged in 2014 but briefly separated in 2015 before reconciling in 2016. They remained together for nearly another decade before quietly separating late last year.

The split was described as amicable by those close to the couple. Friends told the Mail on Sunday that McDaid speaks highly of Cox and that both parties remain on good terms despite the separation. According to sources, the relationship ended not due to conflict but because the couple had begun living "different lives." Cox, best known for her role as Monica Geller on Friends, is based in Los Angeles, while McDaid has spent considerable time in London. The couple frequently divided their time between the United States and the United Kingdom in recent years, which contributed to their growing distance.

The former couple were last photographed together publicly at the US Open in September. Prior to that, they were spotted on a double date in Malibu, California, with Jennifer Aniston and her boyfriend Jim Curtis in August. Since the separation, McDaid is reported to be in the early stages of a new relationship, while Cox has been seen spending time with her Shining Vale co-star Greg Kinnear, though sources indicated they are friends rather than romantically involved.

Cox shares a daughter, Coco, with her ex-husband and Scream co-star David Arquette, from whom she divorced in 2013. McDaid continues his work with Snow Patrol and has been active with the band's summer tour schedule.
