Sunita Ahuja Joins Lock Upp, Makes Candid Revelations About Govinda's Affairs and Shooting Incident

Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has joined the latest season of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa as a contestant, where she has made several candid revelations about her 40-year marriage. The reality show, hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh on Netflix, premiered on June 27, 2026. During her appearance, Sunita admitted that Govinda had multiple affairs throughout their relationship and discussed his accidental shooting incident in October 2024, when a licensed revolver discharged and struck his leg at his Mumbai residence.

Sunita explained her decision to participate in Lock Upp, stating that producer Ektaa Kapoor is launching her and her son Yash in a film project. She emphasized her strong character, saying she is not afraid of being filmed 24/7 and does not lie. Despite rumours of marital discord between the couple, Sunita noted that Govinda was "very tensed" about her participation, expressing concern that others might hurt her emotionally during the show. However, she asserted that her husband underestimates her strength and ability to handle confrontation.

In her candid remarks on the show, Sunita addressed headlines comparing Govinda unfavourably, stating that after tolerating his affairs for decades, she deserves to have a son like him rather than a husband like him.
