Trans TV to Air 'Pixels' Tonight – Sci-Fi Comedy Inspired by 1980s Arcade Games

Trans TV's Bioskop Trans TV program will air the 2015 sci-fi comedy film 'Pixels' tonight, Thursday, 18 June 2026, at 8:00 PM WIB. Directed by Chris Columbus, the movie blends action, comedy, and science fiction with a unique premise: an alien invasion triggered by a misinterpreted video recording of classic arcade games.

The story begins in 1982 when Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) competes in a Donkey Kong championship against Eddie Plant (Peter Dinklage). Footage of the match, watched by his friend Will Cooper (Kevin James), is later sent into space via a time capsule. Years after, the capsule is recovered by extraterrestrial beings who misinterpret the arcade gameplay as a declaration of war from humanity, launching an invasion that mimics the patterns and characters of 1980s arcade games.
