The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali), led by Chief Irjen Daniel Adityajaya, held a personnel reception and deployment ceremony on Tuesday, 6 October 2026. The event marked both the return of officers who had completed disaster relief operations and the dispatch of new personnel to support security for the MotoGP Mandalika 2026 event in West Nusa Tenggara.
Personnel returning to Bali included 10 officers who had assisted with earthquake response in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and 110 officers who completed forest and land fire (karhutla) operations in West Kalimantan (Kalbar). Kapolda Bali expressed appreciation for their work managing disasters and maintaining public security in their assigned regions, urging them to reintegrate into their home units while applying lessons learned to enhance professional capability.
Simultaneously, 97 personnel were deployed on operational loan (BKO) to West Nusa Tenggara Police (Polda NTB) to support MotoGP Mandalika 2026 security operations. The deployment comprised 86 personnel from the Traffic Directorate (Ditsamapta), 4 from the Mobile Brigade (Satbrimob) as an anti-drone team, and 7 from the Traffic Management and Regulation Directorate (Ditpamobvit), with the latter already positioned at the venue. Supporting equipment included three personnel transport buses, one advanced tactical equipment truck, one armoured vehicle, one double-cabin truck, three K-9 unit vehicles, five X-Ray machines, and twenty hand metal detectors.
Kapolda Bali instructed deployed personnel to carry out their duties with professionalism, discipline, and full responsibility, emphasising team cohesion, humanistic service delivery, and protection of the Bali Police's reputation throughout the MotoGP Mandalika 2026 operations. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Brigjen Pol I Made Astawa and senior police officials.
Why This Matters
The deployment of 97 Bali police personnel to West Nusa Tenggara and repositioning of disaster-relief units affects event security staffing, traffic management capacity, and inter-provincial police resource allocation during a major international motorsports event. The operation demonstrates coordination between provincial police jurisdictions and allocation of specialized units (mobile brigades, K-9 teams, technical equipment) for venue security and crowd management.
