Trump Struggles with Chair Height at G7 Summit, Accepts Help from Canadian PM Carney

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney intervened with humor, offering Trump his own chair while joking about the United Nations. "Donald, Donald, Donald. The chair incident recalled a previous confrontation Trump experienced at a UN summit in September, when an escalator malfunctioned as he and First Lady Melania were boarding it. Trump responded seriously to that incident, delivering a lengthy statement on Truth Social accusing the organization of "triple sabotage" and citing issues with the escalator, microphone, and teleprompter. His press secretary at the time suggested the escalator may have been deliberately stopped and called for investigation and termination of any responsible party. In contrast, Trump's response to the G7 chair situation remained lighthearted and humorous.
