Kelly Osbourne Confirms No Reconciliation With Estranged Sister Aimee

Kelly Osbourne has stated there is no possibility of reconciliation with her older sister Aimee, describing their relationship as fundamentally incompatible. Speaking on the September 15 episode of the "We Need to Talk" podcast, Kelly, 41, detailed a lifelong estrangement rooted in Aimee's decision to opt out of the family's reality television career. While their parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and younger brother Jack participated in MTV's "The Osbournes"—which premiered in 2002 and ran for four seasons—Aimee, 43, moved into the guest house to avoid cameras and has maintained distance from public family life ever since.

Kelly expressed frustration that Aimee never acknowledged her or Jack during their formative years, suggesting her sister may have felt embarrassed by the family's public persona. "Everything I am, she's not. Everything she is, I'm not," Kelly said, characterizing them as "polar opposites" and "like oil and water." She acknowledged respecting Aimee's choice to prioritize privacy and pursue her own creative path—Aimee is a musician who released the synth-pop album "Vacare Adamaré" in 2020 under the stage name ARO—but said the distance has left lasting wounds.

Kelly described the estrangement as "one of the hardest things in my life," noting she missed having a big sister to guide her and carries permanent resentment over that loss. When asked directly if reconciliation was possible, she said simply: "No." She elaborated that reconciliation would require Aimee to "accept me for who I am" rather than "constantly trying to change me" or "saying horrible things about me." Despite their separation, the siblings presented a united front at their father Ozzy Osbourne's funeral in Birmingham, England, and attended the 2026 Grammy Awards, which featured a tribute to the late rock legend.

Aimee has previously explained her decision to abstain from "The Osbournes," telling The Independent in 2015 that she was "trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life" at the time. In later interviews, she emphasized concerns about privacy and the desire to build a creative reputation independent of her father's fame. She told The Michael Anthony Show in 2021 that participating in the reality series would have felt "extraordinarily nepotistic" and incompatible with her values. Despite these divergent life paths, Kelly indicated she maintains respect for her sister's autonomy, though emotional bridges remain burned.
