Beau Greaves, 22, has become the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour, achieving the feat in the sixth round of the 2026 Players Championship series against Mensur Suljovic. The milestone comes just six months after she earned her PDC Tour Card, which grants her automatic entry to all Players Championship events and a place in qualifying for major tournaments, including the World Championship. Greaves, a three-time back-to-back winner of the WDF World Championship, has quickly established herself as a formidable force in professional darts.
For the first time in her career, Greaves was seeded for a Players Championship event, gaining the status for Players Championship 22 in Wigan after the withdrawal of 2024 world champion Luke Humphries. However, her run at that event was short-lived, as she was defeated 6-1 in the first round by world number 31 Ritchie Edhouse. Her next opportunity for success will come at Players Championship 23 in Leicester next month.
Greaves has already enjoyed a momentous year, having become the first woman to win a PDC ranking title in April when she defeated former world champion Michael Smith 8-7 in the final of Players Championship 11. En route to that victory, she also knocked out another ex-world champion, Gary Anderson. Reflecting on her achievements, Greaves said: "I've had a great year, but I never thought I'd win one of these. Today I played really well. I'm so happy, I can't even describe the way I feel. I feel so proud of myself. I beat Gary Anderson – I can't believe it. Even beating Michael – I'm beating players I watched growing up. Hopefully I can kick on and keep doing it."
Darts pundit Laura Turner described Greaves as "a threat to absolutely anyone and everyone" in the game. Currently ranked 78th in the PDC World Rankings and 53rd in the PDC ProTour Rankings, Greaves is well positioned to qualify for the World Championship, where the top 40 players in the ProTour Rankings who are not already in the top 40 of the World Rankings earn a spot. The Players Championship series runs throughout the year across venues in the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany, culminating with the Players Championship Finals at Butlin's Minehead Resort in November.
