Attention now shifts to Ghana's upcoming match against England, set to be played in Boston. Semenyo, who will face several Premier League and Manchester City teammates, made it clear that friendships will be set aside. "It is going to be really tough and that is why we needed this win and the confidence to potentially help us into the next round," he said. "Of course, they're my friends and there's love there, but now it's just time to focus."

A victory over England would guarantee Ghana's progression to the last 32 of the tournament with a game to spare. After gaining momentum through a dramatic late win, the Black Stars now face their toughest test of the group stage.
