Saratov Gasoline Prices Continue Unabated Surge

Gasoline prices in Saratov have continued to rise, reaching new highs as of mid-June 2026. According to local reports, regular AI-92 gasoline climbed to 78 rubles per liter between June 9 and June 15, marking an increase of 9.4% from earlier periods. Premium AI-95 fuel also rose by 8.0%, with some stations listing it at 76.99 rubles per liter by late June.

The steady price hikes reflect persistent inflationary pressures and supply chain disruptions in the region. Notably, diesel fuel prices edged up by 0.2%, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices remained stable. Observers note that recent increases come on top of significant gains earlier in the year; for instance, by May 27 the average price of AI-92 had already reached 66.78 rubles per liter, and by June 24 it had risen further to 64.24 rubles per liter, following an earlier reading of 69.39 rubles per liter for AI-95 on May 30.

High-octane AI-98 gasoline has seen more dramatic jumps, rising by 51 rubles to reach 94.79 rubles per liter as of late June. The continuous upward trend underscores broader economic challenges facing the region, with no signs of abatement. Fuel availability and pricing remain key concerns for consumers and businesses alike, as the region grapples with ongoing inflation and logistical bottlenecks.
