Bless Gagliasso debuts in Brazilian telenovela A Nobreza do Amor

Bless Gagliasso, 11-year-old son of actors Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso, made his telenovela debut on October 2, 2026, in Globo's A Nobreza do Amor, portraying Cayman II in flashback sequences set in the fictional African kingdom of Batanga. The scenes aired in Friday's episode, depicting the character as a child attempting to remove a legendary dagger embedded in a sacred baobab tree alongside Arthur Ferreira, who plays the younger version of José.

In the storyline, José (played by Bukassa Kabengele as an adult) returns to Batanga on a secret mission and becomes overwhelmed by childhood memories when he reaches the sacred baobab tree. The flashback shows the two brothers as children running through the palace gardens before discovering the dagger. Both brothers attempt to pull the weapon from the tree trunk, but neither succeeds—Cayman tries first without success, followed by José.

Bless, who takes acting classes, had previously appeared in the unreleased film Makunaima XXI, a contemporary adaptation of Mário de Andrade's classic novel Macunaíma. His mother emphasized that the interest in acting originated from Bless himself and that she and Bruno decided to support his artistic pursuits. Giovanna Ewbank described the moment as emotionally significant, noting that both she and Bruno began their careers at Globo. "Ver o Bless ali por uma escolha dele, fazendo uma coisa que ele ama e que faz os olhos dele brilharem foi lindo. Agora é a vez dele de viver essa história. A nossa é estar por perto, apoiando e torcendo muito," she told O Globo.

Ewbank also reflected on her son's natural artistic inclination. "Ele sempre teve uma alma artística. É um menino sensível, que gosta de música, de pintar, desenhar, cantar, atuar. A arte sempre foi um jeito muito natural de ele se expressar," she explained, emphasizing that she and Bruno have prioritized allowing their children freedom to discover their own paths.
