Tsuchiura Nichidai, which won the spring prefectural tournament, enters the 108th National High School Baseball Championship Ibaraki Tournament as the favorite with well-balanced overall strength. The team's pitching rotation features right-handers Yohito Koike and Yuki Shima, who throw in the mid-140 kilometer range, along with left-handed reliever Yuki Itabashi.
