NASA unveils X-70 Fractal experimental aircraft for advanced flight research

NASA's X-70 Fractal expands the agency's capacity to test advanced aviation technologies—including reconfigurable flight controls and novel maneuverability concepts—under real flight conditions with up to 907 kg of experimental payloads. First flight is scheduled within approximately two years, accelerating development cycles for technologies applicable to future space exploration and aeronautics research programs including the Artemis lunar initiative.
