The government-funded delegation, chartered via jets arranged by Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, represents a significant investment in creating home-field advantage for the underdog Middle Eastern nation competing in North America. The initiative, coordinated by Qatar's Social and Sport Contribution Fund and the nation's soccer federation under the "Qatari Fans Delegation Program," covers all major expenses including flights, hotel accommodations at luxury properties such as the Fairmont and JW Marriott Parq, local transportation, and additional perks. The federation stated the aim was to create "a vibrant stadium atmosphere that will help push the players toward the best possible results on the global stage." Qatari students in the United States and Canada were also invited to attend the matches. The delegated fans have made a visible impact in downtown Vancouver, drawing attention with traditional darbuka drums and cultural displays. Qatar captain Abdulaziz Hatem acknowledged the supporters' commitment, stating: "We are very aware of the responsibility. We are going to do whatever it takes for them to leave the stadium happy and for them to be proud of us."
