Russian federal and regional authorities, together with oil companies, are keeping fuel supplies to the regions under control, according to Dmitry Gusev, deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the Nadyozhny Partner association. He said gasoline and diesel are available at filling stations and that fuel-access standards are being met.
Gusev said fuel can be found both at oil company stations and at most independent gas stations, and that drivers can refuel as usual. He added that some companies may introduce temporary, local restrictions to manage demand.
The expert also said measures are being taken to ensure fuel deliveries to farmers for both the spring planting and harvest seasons. Airlines are also receiving jet fuel, with flights operating normally.
The comments came as Russian Railways had earlier discussed how it organizes the logistics of fuel deliveries.
Why This Matters
This assurance from Russian authorities signals that fuel shortages are not imminent, which may stabilize energy markets and prevent panic buying. For businesses reliant on transport and logistics, it confirms that supply chains can continue without disruption, while airlines can maintain normal flight operations. Farmers can expect fuel deliveries for planting and harvest seasons, supporting agricultural output.
