England footballer Jude Bellingham has become inadvertently drawn into a public family conflict involving his girlfriend, Ashlyn Rene Castro, and Castro's mother, Tina Marie Young, who is currently residing in a homeless shelter in Los Angeles. The dispute has played out across social media, with Young posting on TikTok and Instagram accusing her 28-year-old daughter of disobedience, lying, and abandonment. In posts directed at both Castro and the Real Madrid playmaker, the 61-year-old former model wrote: "Who is Jude Bellingham? You disobeyed your mother, lied to her, and left her in shelters." She also described her living conditions as dangerous, citing the presence of bedbugs and cockroaches.

Castro has countered her mother's allegations by claiming Young suffers from schizophrenia and has not taken her prescribed medication for over a decade. The influencer, who has more than 646,000 Instagram followers and 245,000 on TikTok, has largely avoided discussing the family conflict publicly but was compelled to address rumors in previous posts. Castro, who frequently attends Real Madrid matches to support Bellingham and maintains a home in Los Angeles, has described the 22-year-old as "the most considerate, kind-hearted, hardworking, and wonderful person" she has known. Bellingham, for his part, has referred to Castro as his "love."

The conflict has emerged as Bellingham prepares for England's opening match at the 2026 World Cup against Croatia. Young has posted extensively about her situation, claiming she has been cut off from her daughter and expressing frustration about Castro's global travels and social media presence. Young also made veiled criticisms of Castro's use of heavy makeup and filtered photos, stating: "I am not trying to be someone I am not. This is me, the real me, without makeup, and as I am."

Young has described her own life trajectory, claiming to have been reborn after a destructive divorce and homelessness. She characterized Castro's late father, who managed medical resorts and a car detailing service in California, as "a socially impaired narcissist." In her posts, Young has insisted she was a caring mother and has stated, "Maybe in time Ashlyn will realize that I was there and that I cared for her."

Castro, who has been in a relationship with Bellingham since January of the previous year, is reportedly working on establishing a nonprofit organization to assist people suffering from mental illnesses.
