Georgia Parenting Influencer's 2-Year-Old Daughter Dies in Swimming Pool Drowning

Jamal Morton, a 33-year-old parenting influencer with millions of followers across social media platforms, announced the tragic death of his 2-year-old daughter, Sadé Rose Morton, on June 24, 2026. According to Morton's posts on Instagram and a GoFundMe fundraiser, Sadé Rose drowned in the family's swimming pool on Father's Day, June 21. Morton described the incident in emotional terms, writing that his daughter "thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself" and "walked out of the house and got into the pool, where she drowned." He described her as "the best daughter a father could ever ask for" and expressed his profound grief, stating that "losing a child is a pain I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy."

Morton, known online as J'Amore, is a content creator with 1.1 million TikTok followers, 2.6 million Instagram followers, and 2.3 million Facebook followers. He produces comedy skits and family-themed content, including a "Gentle Parenting" series. Sadé Rose was the youngest of his nine children with his wife Jessica. The family had celebrated her second birthday in April 2024 with a Peppa Pig-themed party, moments that Morton had shared on social media just days before her death.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence in Hoschton, Georgia, and confirmed that the death was accidental in nature. The Hall County Coroner's Office confirmed the drowning incident occurred on Father's Day. In response to the tragedy, Morton announced he would be taking an indefinite break from social media. His management team released a statement indicating they would take over his platforms while he and his family grieve. Several of Morton's social media posts and the GoFundMe campaign were subsequently deleted, though some announcements remained on Facebook.

Morton also disclosed that the family plans to relocate as a result of the tragedy. "We have to move away because we can't live in that house anymore, and I don't think I'll ever be able to work anytime soon," he wrote on the GoFundMe page, requesting support to help the family transition. The fundraiser was intended to assist with moving expenses during this difficult period.
