The world premiere of DC Studios’ “Supergirl” took place on June 22, 2026, at The Plaza at 300 Ashland in Brooklyn, New York, drawing a star-studded red carpet. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Alcock addressed the scrutiny that comes with playing a high-profile superhero role, particularly as a woman. “It definitely made me aware that simply existing as a woman in that space is something that people comment on,” she said. “We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies. I can’t really stop them. I can only be myself.”
