Samara completes beach preparations with new sand and equipment ahead of swimming season

Samara has completed preparatory work on official beaches along the Volga River ahead of the upcoming swimming season. According to an announcement from the city administration on June 17, new sand has been delivered to all official beaches and levelled across the first and second stages of the embankment, spanning from Leningradskaya Street to Vilanovskaya Street and from Mayakovskogo Street to Chkalovsky Descent. Authorities have treated all beach areas for rodents and installed approximately 500 units of beach equipment. The Volga River has warmed to comfortable temperatures of 20.4 degrees Celsius. The Regional Consumer Protection Service (Rospotrebnadzor) of Samara Oblast has issued a positive sanitary and epidemiological conclusion, confirming that both water and sand are safe for recreation. Specialists continue to install equipment on beaches as work progresses on the first and second phases of the embankment development.
