Salvadoran streamer Komanche, 30, found dead in Monterrey

A man believed to be Salvadoran streamer Komanche (Carlos Mauricio Gómez) was found dead in a rented house in the Paseo de Cumbres neighbourhood of Monterrey, Mexico, on 25 October 2026. The body was discovered in a residence on Paseo de Niza street after neighbours reported the door had been left open since the previous day. Property owners who went to check the house found the man unresponsive; emergency services confirmed he had no vital signs. The deceased was estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old.

While local media widely reported the death as that of Komanche, Mexican authorities had not officially confirmed the identity as of the initial reports. However, Byron Reyes, identified as his representative, stated on Instagram that he had spoken directly with Komanche's family, who confirmed the deceased was the streamer. Reyes described Komanche as "one of the maximum ambassadors" of El Salvador in the streaming industry and expressed grief over the loss. One source reported the discovery suggested an apparent suicide, though no official cause of death was confirmed. Authorities indicated no visible signs of violence were found at the scene and continued investigating the circumstances.

Komanche was a content creator known in streaming circles and had been scheduled to participate in La Velada del Año 6, an event organised by Spanish streamer Ibai. His participation was cancelled after he prematurely announced the arrangement in violation of a confidentiality agreement. On 19 October, days before his death, Komanche posted on social media stating "The days simply do not improve," which prompted concern among followers.
