Tautvydas Šležas leaves Kaunas Žalgiris-2 after four seasons to join Panevėžys Lietkabelis coaching staff. He is expected to replace Paulius Malašauskas, who is moving to Gargždai. Šležas helped Žalgiris youth win the Euroleague Youth Tournament last season.

Tautvydas Šležas, who spent four seasons in the coaching staff of Kaunas Žalgiris-2, is moving to Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) club Panevėžys Lietkabelis. The 36-year-old specialist will join the club’s coaching staff for the upcoming season.
Lietkabelis’ head coach is Nenadas Čanakas, who was assisted last season by Simas Juraitis and Paulius Malašauskas. According to BasketNews, Šležas is expected to take Malašauskas’ place, as Malašauskas will take over Gargždai team.
Šležas joined the Žalgiris youth system in the 2022–2023 season and worked as an assistant coach for four seasons. During that time, he won the NKL championship once, earned bronze medals once, and last season helped the young Žalgiris team win the Euroleague Youth Tournament trophy.
Kaunas Žalgiris wished Šležas success in the next stage of his career.
