Thailand's 2026 Welfare Card Results to Be Announced on July 17

Thailand's Ministry of Finance has confirmed that it will begin screening all applicants for the 2026 Welfare Card (Bai Satharana Kaeng Rat) after the registration period closes on June 21, 2026. According to Luawon Saengsonit, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, the ministry will review both existing welfare card holders who have re-confirmed their eligibility and new applicants identified by surveys from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

The screening process will assess applicants against established eligibility criteria, which include Thai nationality, age 18 and above, annual income not exceeding 100,000 baht, no credit cards, and restrictions on loans, savings, property, and vehicle ownership. The ministry will compile results, address any issues discovered during screening, and review proposals to amend the criteria before presenting the complete package to a cabinet meeting for approval. All processing is scheduled to be completed before the official announcement of eligible beneficiaries.

The official announcement of successful and unsuccessful applicants will take place on July 17, 2026. Eligible recipients will receive 300 baht per month through the welfare card. Registered applicants will be able to verify their eligibility status and check their qualification results through channels designated by the Ministry of Finance. The ministry has clarified that dependent tax reduction criteria used for tax purposes will not be applied to welfare card eligibility assessments.
