Russia's Defense Ministry reported that its forces struck multiple Ukrainian military targets over a 24-hour period on June 22, including unmanned aerial vehicle assembly and storage sites, oil refining facilities, fuel and energy infrastructure, and deployment areas. According to the ministry statement, Russian operational and tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery conducted strikes across 142 locations in Ukraine during the special military operation.
The Defense Ministry claimed that Ukrainian forces suffered approximately 1,440 personnel casualties across all frontline areas during the same period. These losses were distributed across Russia's various battlegroups: Battlegroup North reported over 210 casualties, Battlegroup West more than 220, Battlegroup South roughly 165, Battlegroup Center over 335, Battlegroup East approximately 460, and Battlegroup Dnepr more than 50 casualties.
Battlegroup North operations in the Sumy and Kharkov regions resulted in reported losses of more than 210 Ukrainian personnel, an armored combat vehicle, 16 motor vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher, a field artillery gun, and a RADA counterbattery radar station. The ministry stated that units improved tactical positions near settlements including Radkovka, Tolstodubovo, Bachevsk, Kolodeznoye, Ternovaya, Bely Kolodez, and Rubezhnoye.
Battlegroup West reported inflicting over 220 casualties and destroying two enemy artillery guns in areas near Lozovaya, Grushevka, Rubtsy, and Volchy Yar. The ministry also noted that Russian assault groups in Krasny Liman seized 10 enemy strongholds and liberated 46 buildings in the city's northwestern section, with the 67th Motor Rifle Division advancing westward.
