Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport has lifted temporary restrictions in its airspace perimeter, allowing airport staff to return to their workplaces and passengers to be escorted out of shelters, according to the airport’s press service. Terminal parking areas have also been reopened for passengers entering the terminal buildings.
The airport said airlines are adjusting flight schedules in response to the disruption. The measures at Sheremetyevo had affected normal airport operations before being отменed, or lifted, on June 18.
Restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures remain in place at other Moscow-area airports, including Zhukovskiy. Domodedovo is continuing to handle flights in coordination with the relevant authorities.
