Miami will send guard Tyler Herro, center Kel'el Ware, forward Jaime Jaquez Jr., guard Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks (including the No. 13 pick in Tuesday's NBA draft), one pick swap, and one second-round pick to Milwaukee. The draft compensation includes unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, a 2030 pick swap, and a 2033 second-rounder. The trade is a one-to-one move with no additional teams involved, though the framework leaves room for potential expansion.

Heat president Pat Riley has secured a long-anticipated superstar addition, pairing the two-time NBA MVP with center Bam Adebayo. Antetokounmpo, 31, spent 13 seasons in Milwaukee, leading the Bucks to their first championship in 50 years in 2021. He is a 10-time All-Star, two-time MVP, and was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. Miami's title odds shortened from 30-1 to 18-1 at DraftKings Sportsbook following the news.

The Bucks seriously negotiated with two finalists in recent weeks: the Heat and the Boston Celtics. The Celtics offered a package centered on 2024 Finals MVP Jaylen Brown and two first-round picks, according to sources. Milwaukee general manager Jon Horst ultimately chose the Heat's offer for its combination of young talent, controlled contracts, and draft capital, allowing new coach Taylor Jenkins to build for long-term competitiveness. The Bucks are acquiring four players in their 20s, with Herro—a Wisconsin native and 2025 All-Star—headlining the return.
