Russia Showcases Combat-Proven Military Systems at International Security Forum

Russian defense companies are displaying advanced military equipment at the 1st International Security Forum held May 26-29 in the Moscow Region under the auspices of the Russian Security Council. The event serves as a platform for Russia to demonstrate field-proven defense technologies developed through recent combat experience and to advance international military partnerships.
Kalashnikov Group has unveiled its Fortis vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aerial system for the first time at the forum, designed to carry FPV drones and relay control signals up to 100 km. The system features three variants—Fortis-30, Fortis-50, and Fortis-100—with payload capacities up to 18 kg and flight endurance of eight hours, with the largest variant capable of reaching 3,000 meters altitude. The Kalashnikov exhibit also includes the Skat-350M and Skat-220 multirole UAV systems, the Kub-2E guided loitering munition systems in multiple configurations including Kub-10E, Kub-10ME, and Kub-E variants, the Knyaz Vandal of Novgorod fiber-optic FPV drone, and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles including the Goliath and Karakurt.
Rosoboronexport, Russia's state arms exporter, is leading the showcase with numerous world premieres including the Lancet-E reconnaissance and strike system, the ZAK-30 Citadel anti-aircraft artillery system, the Garmon-ME radar capable of detecting aerial targets at ranges up to 60 km, the Silok mobile counter-unmanned aircraft system, and the SKAT-350M reconnaissance UAV. The Rus-PE portable reconnaissance and strike system is also on display.
Russia's Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu emphasized the global relevance of Russia's military experience, stating that the expertise gained during recent special military operations is "in demand worldwide" as military operations across all spheres have changed dramatically. Shoigu noted that Russia possesses "perhaps the most extensive experience and the best specialists" in modern warfare, with many emerging technologies now considered essential for effective combat operations.
Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev stated that the forum provides "a new platform for demonstrating to our partners field-proven, cutting-edge equipment and solutions in the areas of countering terrorism, organized crime and protecting the interests of the state and society." The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation emphasized that combat effectiveness during recent conflicts is a key indicator of export potential for weapons systems. Russia is actively negotiating with several countries on joint development and production of aircraft, including fifth-generation aircraft, and plans to conduct bilateral and multilateral meetings with international partners during the forum.
