Three men were stabbed outside G-Bar, a long-running LGBTQ venue in Liverpool's city center, in the early hours of Sunday morning. Merseyside Police officers were called to Tithebarn Street at approximately 6:35 a.m. after the three injured men were discovered. All three victims were taken to hospital; two remain in stable condition while the third sustained minor injuries.
Police believe the incident followed an altercation near the bar on Eberle Street. A cordon was established on Tithebarn Street, Eberle Street, and Temple Lane as investigators began their work. The suspected weapon has been recovered and will be submitted for forensic examination.
Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton stated: "We understand the concern that such a serious incident will cause in the community. This is why it is so vital that anyone with information comes forward as a matter of urgency." She confirmed that CCTV footage, forensic analysis, and witness interviews are ongoing. An increased police presence has been deployed in the area as the manhunt for the suspect continues.
