Kururi frontman Kishida Shigeru marries horn player Yonezaki Seina

Shigeru Kishida, 50, frontman of Japanese rock band Kururi, announced his marriage to freelance horn player Seina Yonezaki on November 2, 2026, via social media posts on X and a detailed note. The couple first met in 2017 at the Kyoto Music Expo, where Kishida recalled being immediately captivated by Yonezaki's horn sound during rehearsal. Their professional collaboration deepened when Kishida commissioned Yonezaki to perform horn arrangements for the song "Aria of the Sea Breeze" during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over time, working together on Kururi recordings and performances built mutual respect and shared artistic values. Kishida described Yonezaki as "a musician I respect, one of my close friends, my partner, a wise counselor, and a kind-hearted person." Both parties disclosed that this is not their first marriage, and Kishida, now 50, reflected that after five decades he was moved to encounter such a meaningful connection. Kishida was born in April 1976 in Kyoto Prefecture and serves as both Kururi's frontman and an accomplished film and orchestral composer. Yonezaki, from Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, began playing horn at age 13 and now works as a freelance musician across orchestral, chamber, and recording projects primarily in the Kansai region. The couple expressed their intention to support each other's professional and personal lives going forward.
