Internal records from Dialog, a private invitation-only organization cofounded by billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel in 2006, have been exposed online, revealing the identities of powerful figures in US politics, finance, and technology who were assured their participation would remain confidential. The leak, confirmed by WIRED, names 222 registered attendees for the group's 2026 retreat scheduled for August 12-16 at the Powerscourt Hotel near Dublin, Ireland, and includes sensitive personal details previously kept private.
Swiss hacktivist maia arson crimew first revealed a directory hidden in the website's code via an anonymous tip, with WIRED independently verifying the contents. The leaked materials include registration lists categorizing attendees as "active members" or "guests," and document off-the-record session topics ranging from conventional thought leadership discussions to more unusual panels titled "Bring Back Nuclear," "Navigating WWIII," "Battlefield Technologies," "Build-a-Cult," and "Build-a-Party." Other sessions include "Money (Does?) Buy Happiness" and "How's Your Sex Life?"
The exposed records reveal an extraordinary convergence of power, listing General Alexus Grynkewich, NATO's supreme allied commander Europe and head of US European Command since July 2025, who the leaked documents show has attended Dialog gatherings since 2021. The membership also includes sitting Trump administration officials, two US senators including Ted Cruz, six members of the PayPal Mafia, a former Middle East intelligence chief, and a sitting US ambassador. Notably, the directory shows executives from major surveillance, data-broker, and advertising companies positioned alongside senior US officials who oversee their industries—including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent alongside Dialog chairman Auren Hoffman, founder of location-data broker SafeGraph and identity-resolution firm LiveRamp, and Palantir cofounder Joe Lonsdale alongside Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and House Intelligence Committee ranking member Jim Himes.
Of the 222 registered attendees for the 2026 retreat, 87 are marked as first-time participants, while others have membership histories stretching over a decade, with some dating to the organization's founding two decades ago. Significantly, none of the registrants used government email addresses, instead registering with personal or corporate accounts. Dialog has maintained strict confidentiality about its membership for twenty years, and no individuals named in the leaked records responded to WIRED's requests for comment, including executive director Raffi Grinberg.
Why This Matters
This leak exposes a decades-long pattern of opaque power-brokering that blurs the line between private sector influence and government oversight. The convergence of corporate executives from surveillance firms with the Treasury Secretary and military leadership suggests potential conflicts of interest in critical policy areas—from national security to financial regulation. For citizens and investors, understanding these private networks is essential to assess whether government decisions genuinely serve public interest or reflect undisclosed private relationships.
