Beyond these two main venues, Tashkent authorities are organizing fan zones across all 11 districts of the city. Additional viewing locations include parks and public spaces such as Furoat Park (Mirabadsky district), Central Park (Mirzo-Ulugbek district), Victory Park (Almazar district), Seoul Eco Park (Uchtepe district), Dream Park named after Gafur Gulyam (Chilanzar district), Anhor-Lokomotiv Park (Shaykhantahur district), Dustlik Park (Yakkasaray district), and INDEX Park (Yangikhayt district), as well as viewing areas in Rohat Mahalla (Bektemir district), the Central Alley (Sergeli district), and the Yunusabad Sports Complex (Yunusabad district).
Uzbekistan's group stage campaign will consist of three matches scheduled in June 2026. The team will face Colombia on June 18 at 7:00 AM, Portugal on June 23 at 10:00 PM, and the Democratic Republic of Congo on June 28 at 4:30 AM local time. All fan zones across the city will offer free entry, allowing residents to gather and support their national team throughout the tournament.
Why This Matters
This expansion of fan zones demonstrates how host cities maximize public engagement during major sporting events. For Tashkent residents, it means accessible, free opportunities to collectively experience World Cup matches without traveling to stadiums, strengthening community spirit and national pride. For city planners, it showcases strategic use of distributed public spaces to handle large crowds while maintaining safety and comfort across all districts.
