U.S. Negotiators Uitkoff and Kushner Expected to Visit Moscow Soon, Timeline Uncertain

Russian presidential aide Yuri Usakov confirmed that U.S. negotiators Steven Uitkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to visit Moscow in the near future, though specific dates remain unconfirmed. According to Usakov, the timing of their arrival depends partly on their current commitments to Iran-related negotiations, where both are involved in preliminary work on a major agreement. The planned visit follows a June 14 telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump that lasted approximately 50 minutes and was characterized as "friendly and candid" in tone, during which both leaders agreed to arrange the delegation's visit.

Russia has signaled that it expects a U.S.-Iran peace agreement to be signed before substantive negotiations on Ukraine resolution can resume. Usakov noted that as of mid-June, there had been no direct contacts between Russia and the United States following the G7 summit in France.
