TelkomGroup has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting the company's commitment to embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy and digital transformation. The report outlines key achievements and strategic initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable growth while delivering positive impact on the environment and society.
According to Gunawan Wasisto Ciptaning Andri, Vice President of Sustainability at Telkom, sustainability has become an integral part of the company's long-term growth strategy. "For TelkomGroup, sustainability is not merely about compliance, but an integral part of the company's strategy in creating sustainable long-term growth while strengthening competitiveness in the digital era," he said in a press release on June 17, 2026.
The ESG implementation is structured around three main pillars: Save Our Planet, Empower Our People, and Elevate Our Business. Under Save Our Planet, TelkomGroup strengthened initiatives to support a low-carbon economy, including emission management, energy efficiency, resource optimization, and development of greener digital infrastructure such as green data centers. A key milestone in 2025 was the launch of the Climate Transition Plan, which integrates climate risk management into long-term business planning.
Under Empower Our People, the company reported that as of 2025, approximately 21% of managerial positions at TelkomGroup are held by women, and over 20.2% of employees are categorized as digital talent, reflecting efforts to boost inclusivity and prepare for future industry needs. Customer satisfaction also improved, with the Net Promoter Score (NPS) reaching an "Excellent" rating. Additionally, around 12.6% of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by TelkomGroup successfully upgraded through digital technology and business mentoring.
On the Elevate Our Business pillar, TelkomGroup enhanced corporate governance and risk management by establishing the Directorate of Legal and Compliance in 2025. The company also expanded national digital infrastructure, including data centers, fiber optic networks, telecommunications towers, and international connectivity to support growing demand for digital services, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence. These efforts aim to drive sustainable growth and support Indonesia's digital economy development.
Why This Matters
This report signals that TelkomGroup, a major Indonesian telecom, is aligning with global ESG trends—important for investors and partners tracking sustainability metrics and governance improvements. The emphasis on digital talent and infrastructure expansion suggests growing opportunities in Indonesia's digital economy, which could affect supply chains and investment decisions.
