A wave of tour announcements has added several new New York-area stops, spanning indie rock, punk and folk-pop acts. Welsh band The Bug Club will launch a North American run in Toronto on June 18 in support of their album Every Single Muscle, with dates including Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Rooftop on July 1 and a free in-store appearance at Rough Trade Below on July 3 before the tour wraps in Chicago on July 10.
Kim Gordon is also slated for a last-minute New York City appearance at Night Club 101 on Thursday, with tickets reported to have sold out immediately. Gordon is already scheduled for additional tour dates later in the year, including a Brooklyn show at Warsaw on September 15.
Elsewhere in the roundup, The Lumineers will headline the US Open’s Fan Week festivities at Louis Armstrong Stadium on August 21. horsegiirL has added a second Terminal 5 date to her fall tour, meaning she will now play the Manhattan venue on October 29 and 30 with Dylan Brady and Ren G.
Other acts also revealed New York-area shows, including Afternoon Bike Ride at Night Club 101 on August 21, Katie Pruitt at Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 28, Valerie June at Crown Hill Theatre on December 11, Inara George at City Winery on June 19 and hey, nothing at Irving Plaza on October 23.
