Fact Check: Fraudulent BSU Registration Link Circulating on Facebook

A false claim about a Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) registration link attributed to Indonesia's Ministry of Labour (Kemnaker) has been circulating on Facebook. Liputan6's fact-checking team identified the misleading post shared on June 15, 2026, which claimed that the ministry had distributed BSU payments to 2.45 million workers and provided a registration link for citizens to check their status.

The fraudulent post included a poster claiming that BSU of 600,000 rupiah had been disbursed, and directed users to click a link to verify their eligibility. The link reportedly led to a phishing page requesting personal information including full names and Telegram numbers. The post appeared legitimate by listing actual BSU recipient criteria: Indonesian citizens registered with the Labour Social Security (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), earners below a certain income threshold, and non-civil servants.

However, Kemnaker's official statement dated January 7, 2026, directly contradicted these claims. The ministry warned the public against fraudulent information impersonating the BSU 2026 program, particularly posts containing unofficial registration links. Faried Abdurrahman Nur Yuliono, head of Kemnaker's public relations bureau, emphasized that BSU does not require self-registration and that official information is only distributed through the official website bsu.kemnaker.go.id and the ministry's verified social media channels.

The ministry clarified that the last BSU disbursement occurred in 2025, benefiting 16.048.472 workers, and that no official policy or announcement regarding BSU distribution in 2026 has been made. Kemnaker urged citizens to exercise caution when encountering such claims outside official government channels and to report suspected hoaxes to relevant authorities.
