Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems developed by the Liptech Research and Production Association are successfully defending against Ukrainian Vampire attack drones, also known as Baba-Yaga unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to the developer. The stationary EW systems were specifically engineered after reverse-engineering of captured drones to counter the heavy hexacopters used in Ukrainian night attacks.
Liptech representatives stated that troops operating in the special military operation zone have reported the systems to be highly effective. The developer noted that four such systems equipped with directional antennas can nearly completely block the Ukrainian heavy hexacopters' flight routes to Russian military positions. This capability represents a significant advancement in air defense against unmanned aerial threats in the ongoing conflict.
Beyond the stationary systems, Liptech also produces the Svod-P portable UAV countermeasure system for mobile operations. Each module of the portable system weighs 5.5 kilograms and provides suppression coverage of up to 300 meters, offering flexible deployment options for troops in the field.
