A joint fire safety inspection was conducted in Mytishchi, involving firefighters, environmental officers, police, and local administrative representatives. The raid targeted multiple locations across the city, with particular focus on areas near residential buildings on Stansionnaya and 1st Krestyanskaya streets, as well as zones along the Yauza and Sukromka rivers. Officials paid special attention to popular recreational areas near water bodies, where residents frequently gather.
During the inspection, two violations of fire safety regulations and water protection laws were identified. One driver had parked a vehicle in a water protection zone in violation of current regulations, while another violation was issued for the use of open flame during the active special fire safety regime. Both violators face administrative liability proceedings.
Antony Yudin, Deputy Director of the Mytishchi Municipal Administration's Environmental Management Department, emphasized the importance of compliance. "The shoreline is designated exclusively for public access to water and is not an approved site for picnics. Under the current special fire safety regime, the use of open flame in such zones is strictly prohibited," he stated.
The special fire safety regime has been in effect across the entire Moscow region since April 20. During this period, burning waste, building campfires, and igniting dry vegetation outside specially equipped areas are prohibited. These restrictions are implemented to reduce the risk of wildfires and ensure public safety. Violations carry financial penalties: 10,000 to 20,000 rubles for individuals and 30,000 to 60,000 rubles for officials. Officials reminded residents that compliance with fire safety rules is essential for preventing fires and protecting natural areas.
Why This Matters
This enforcement action demonstrates how local authorities are proactively managing wildfire risks during high-danger seasons through coordinated regulatory compliance in populated areas. For residents, understanding these seasonal restrictions—especially prohibitions on open flames near waterways and in residential zones—is critical for avoiding administrative penalties (up to 20,000 rubles for individuals) while protecting natural areas and neighboring communities from preventable fire incidents.
