The cash was placed in the center seat of his Mitsubishi Pajero. Feeling followed, Alwawan stopped at another bank, leaving the money inside the parked vehicle.
While the victim was inside the bank, Kusmiyanti noticed suspicious activity near the car and raised an alarm. Her shouts caused the suspect, who was attempting to break into the vehicle, to flee. The victim then discovered that the right rear window had been smashed and the plastic-wrapped money was scattered but still intact. The quick action of the parking attendant prevented the loss of the large sum.
Police spokesperson Iptu Indra Prasetyo confirmed that the Brebes Police will honor Kusmiyanti with a reward, stating, "Plans are underway to give a reward; it is currently being discussed." The police are actively investigating the case, utilizing witness statements, crime scene evidence, and CCTV footage to identify the perpetrator. The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Brebes Police and the Brebes Sector Police are leading the pursuit.
