Anthony Edwards to miss up to two months after knee surgery

Edwards' two-month absence removes the Timberwolves' leading scorer (33.3 ppg) for approximately 25 games during the critical early season period, forcing Minnesota to shift offensive responsibilities to backup guards and recent roster additions while his team sits at 3–1. The injury also affects Edwards' eligibility for end-of-season awards (65-game minimum), and his late-December return timeline creates uncertainty around the team's ability to maintain momentum through the holiday stretch and into playoff preparation.
