A stampede at a mehndi ceremony and prize-draw event hosted by Pakistani TikToker Muhammad Ansar Jatt, known as Mr Patlu, left two people dead and 18 injured on October 31, 2026, in Sialkot's Daska area. The incident occurred at Faraz Cricket Ground on Daska Road when organisers opened stadium gates as a large crowd gathered, prompting a sudden rush that caused attendees to fall and become trampled. The deceased were identified as 30-year-old Muhammad Aqeel, who died while being transported to hospital on October 31, and 22-year-old Rehan, who succumbed to injuries on November 1.
The event had attracted a substantial crowd through social media promotion of a prize draw offering 50 motorcycles, 50 tolas of gold, Rs5 million in cash, a car, refrigerators, and dowry packages for 20 deserving girls. Although organisers had obtained a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the Sialkot district administration for a private mehfil-i-samaa (devotional gathering) to begin after Isha prayers, violations were reported around 4pm when large crowds began assembling. Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq subsequently revoked the NOC before the event commenced, citing breach of permit conditions.
Police registered a first information report at Motra Police Station naming nine suspects, including Mr Patlu and event organisers, along with 40–45 unidentified security guards. Six individuals involved in managing the event were arrested by October 31. Mr Patlu reportedly fled the scene immediately after the stampede; police teams were conducting operations to apprehend him using modern investigative technology and intelligence sources. Police seized 50 motorcycles and a car intended as prizes.
According to police investigation, announcements over loudspeakers instructing all attendees to enter the grounds simultaneously triggered the severe stampede. The District Police Officer stated that organisers violated permit terms and established safety procedures, while the incident also disrupted traffic on the main Daska-Sialkot Road. The injured, aged between 22 and 51, came from multiple districts including Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Khanewal, Okara, Gujrat, and Bahawalpur. Most received first aid at Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital; local sources reported that more than 40 people also sought treatment at nearby private hospitals and clinics.
The District Emergency Officer stated that Rescue 1122 had not been informed in advance about the large gathering. The Sialkot police emphasised that protection of citizens' lives and property is their primary responsibility and declared that legal action would be taken against all responsible parties without discrimination. The district administration indicated that permission for remaining wedding celebrations had been cancelled.
