Ukraine launches largest drone attack on Moscow during Russian elections

The attack demonstrates a sustained military escalation targeting energy infrastructure critical to Russia's fuel supply and war economy. At least 3 deaths were confirmed, Moscow Oil Refinery operations were disrupted, airport services were temporarily suspended, and 400 people required evacuation from a burning building—immediate effects on civilian movement, energy markets, and supply chains. Both nations claim the other violated agreements against targeting energy facilities; ongoing contested claims about attack scope and interception rates affect assessments of military capability and infrastructure resilience in the conflict.
